The Correa Lab is investigating how fluctuating estrogen levels influence signaling pathways and neural activity within estrogen-sensitive regions of the hypothalamus. Their research proposes that estrogens simultaneously impact multiple brain regions and neural circuits to coordinate energy balance adjustments that meet the unique metabolic demands of various reproductive states.
